Introducing The Voice of Grassroots Football: Star of the Week for the week beginning 21/06/21.
After scouring hundreds of grassroots football highlights, performances and results all over the UK – we’re proud to award this week’s Star of the Week award to AARON LOVETT of BEDFONT SUNDAY RESERVES (Chiswick and District Sunday League).
The versatile central midfielder enjoyed a prolific season in the middle of the park, with an astounding 14 goals from midfield securing his side’s Golden Boot award. It was a season of ups and downs for Bedfont Sunday who were in and around the title chase throughout the season, but Lovett’s performances and goalscoring record spoke volumes of his showings this season.
His manager George Woodbridge said about the player, “Aaron was the only player to play all 20 games this season and he would always be willing to play anywhere for the team - from CDM to CF! He took the responsibility of taking penalties from the first game of the season, and he's only the second player to score more than 10 goals on his debut season. Our signing of the season by far."
